Imagine John Lennon knew..

He's right, we are thick and ordinary. (Yes, anyone following Jesus is a disciple.) No wonder people lose faith in christianity. That's where the problem lies: People. We're too focused on the people. To be honest, we're useless on our own. We do get it wrong. Some people are grasping this reality. Thank God.

When jesus walked over to the disciples on water (yep, god can do anything).. the one o, peter, wanted to go meet him out there, not thinking for one second how he was going to do it. Ever get that? You're so zoned in to the moment and think afterwards, "how did i do that?" or "how did i get here?" So peter simply gets out the boat and starts running to jesus no-fuss. Untill he realises that he's walking on water and loses faith in himself. The poor guy starts sinking. Naturally.

"Oh you of little faith!" says christ to him.

The whole world has little faith. Look at everyone you know, and you'll see we're all radiating this substance of little faith in ourselves since being disconnected with God. We're living discouraged, but we decide to rather just keep swimming. (I know you're thinking 'Finding Nemo' right now!)

In those days, just a few years ago, Jewish boys would train themselves up for years to be eligible to be invited to 'follow' a rabbi. To be just like the rabbi and even supercede the guy. Most difficult job in town. Only the best of the best would be told, "Follow me." (We are all created to follow something, we've just forgotton what something. So we go for second best.). What is just awesome though.. get this.. Jesus, a jewish rabbi himself, says to some ordinary, un-trained guys of his time, and so says to everyone, "Follow me." Do you get this?? He believes in us! We barely have it all together, and he believes in us!

He has faith in everyone of us.

Believing in God is important, but what about God believing in us? Believing that we can actually be the kind of people we were meant to be. Everyone out there. Even John Lennon.

I watched John Lennons dvd, 'Imagine' with my brother a few nights ago. He's fascinated by him. And i think he's even inspired to think differently. To look for truth and live it. I was inspired by that. Inspired to live out and tell the world the one true Truth, bit by bit, the way Jesus did.

John Lennon's right how music may be more influencial than Jesus Christs life to some. We're too discouraged to believe in something this amazing to live out the truth, untwisted, for the world to know. We're of "little faith". But now we don't have to be.

Imagine John Lennon knew the truth.. he does now.
