Mel Gibson

In a sense, he's one of my favorite christian role models. He had a problem with alcohol in his past, and every now and then he'll relapse, like we all do with something from the past. The rad thing is, is that he's so real about it all. He'll openly confess and confronts it not with arrogance but with zeal, still deeply rooted in God. I read last night, after his many successes, that Elijah ran away and hid and became a "depressed miserable git", but mel continues, deeply rooted in our saviour. Hmm. Yeah, he's a bit off the mark thinking that christs salvation message was only for an elite few, but ya, you know, he'll get it someday.

Mel Gibson's covered in grace as we all are, and we all try and prove that to the world around us by doing so much instead of just living it. What I appreciate about Mel Gibson is that his fight in this war we're all in isn't covered up. He's opened up this spiritual fight for all to see, unashamedly, christs own, real and uncondemned.
